The Kapitalbank Mobile Application Privacy Policy of the JSCB Kapitalbank
This Kapitalbank Mobile Application (hereinafter – the Application) Privacy Policy applies to the information that Joint Stock Commercial Bank Kapitalbank (hereinafter – the Bank) can receive from the user’s device when s/he is using the Application.
Using the Application means the user’s unconditional consent to this Policy and the terms and conditions for processing information received from the user’s device specified therein. In case of disagreement with the Policy, the user must refrain from using the Application.
The Application and services within the Application are provided to the user on the basis of contracts and agreements with the Bank, which, among other things, regulate all issues of processing and storage of the user’s personal data by the Bank.
This Policy applies only to the Application. The Bank shall neither control nor be responsible for the information (the consequences of its transfer) transferred by the user to a third party, if such transfer has been made on a third-party resource, to which the user could go from the Application using links.
The Bank has the right to make changes to this Policy by posting a new version of the Policy on the Bank’s website and/or in the Application. The responsibility for the independent familiarizing themselves with the current version of the Policy lies with the user.
1. The composition of information that can be obtained from the user’s device when s/he is using the Application and the purpose of such obtaining (hereinafter - the User Information):
1.1. Information about the location of the user’s device (based on data from the wireless operator’s network and GPS signals).
Purpose: when the user is using the Application, informing s/he about the location of branches and self-service machines of the Bank, as well as about additional services available to the user and depending on his/her location.
1.2. Photo images taken using the device’s camera.
Purpose: obtaining and using photographic images as part of the services performed in the Application, including for obtaining photographic images of payment documents and barcodes for the purpose of recognizing and using them to carry out money transfer transactions in the Application.
1.3. Information about the operating system version and the device model.
Purpose: analysis of possible errors in the operation of the Application and improvement of the operation of the Application. For analysis purposes, the Bank may transfer information about the operating system and the device model to third parties in an anonymized form.
1.4. Information about the user’s IP address and connection point address.
Purpose: increasing the user’s security when s/he is using the Application and conducting financial transactions.
1.5. Information about SMS messages on the User’s device.
Purpose: saving and using SMS messages received from the Bank in the Application.
2. Conditions for processing User Information
2.1. In accordance with this Policy, the Bank shall process only that information and only for the purposes specified in clause 1.
2.2. The Bank shall take all organizational and technical measures within the Bank’s power to protect User Information from unauthorized access by third parties, using, copying and distribution.
2.3. For the purposes set out in this Policy, the Bank may involve partners with whom the Bank has entered into appropriate confidentiality agreements in processing User Information. The Bank shall transfer anonymized data on the use of the Application to partners for the purpose of improving the operation of the Application on the basis of contracts concluded with them.
2.4. User information may be stored on the resources of the Bank and its partners during the term of the contractual relationship between the Bank and the user regarding the Application.
2.5. User information may be provided to government agencies in accordance with the requirements of current legislation.
